Today, the Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Nkansah and the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Hon. Abdul-Latif Dan, in collaboration with the Information Services Department, engaged traders, residents and other occupants at the Sabon Zongo Market on the need to vacate the premises by 31st July 2026.
The engagement forms part of preparations for the redevelopment of the area into a 24-Hour Economy Market and Commercial Centre, an initiative aimed at expanding economic opportunities, creating jobs, and improving trading conditions within the municipality.
