CLEAN-UP EXERCISE AT ABOSSEY OKAI
The Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with Ghana Prisons Service and the Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association, has successfully organized a massive clean-up exercise at Abossey Okai today.
The event, which started at 6:00am, saw an impressive turnout of residents, traders, assembly staff and partner organizations working hand-in-hand to sweep, desilt drains, and clear refuse from the streets and markets.
Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Nkansah, commended the high level of community participation and expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all who dedicated their time and energy to keeping the municipality clean. He emphasized that sanitation is a shared responsibility and urged residents to maintain the cleanliness beyond the exercise, noting that a cleaner environment promotes good health, boosts business, and enhances the image of the community.
Hon. Nkansah reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to regular clean-up activities and strict enforcement of sanitation by-laws to ensure that Ablekuma Central remains clean, safe, and welcoming.
A big thank you to all our partners and community members for making this exercise a resounding success. Together, we are building a healthier and more vibrant municipality.
