2025 EDITION OF MY FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL
1st October,2025
The Ablekuma central Municipal Assembly together with the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Nkansah joined pupils across selected schools to mark the 2025 edition of My First Day at School. The exercise was supported by the Maximum Joy Foundation, an NGO dedicated to promoting education and child development.
The team visited the following schools:
✅ Kaneshie West 1 Basic School
✅ Holy Family KG/Primary
✅ Buhari Islamic Basic School
✅ Pres. J. E. A. Mills Basic School
A special highlight of the exercise was the visit to Buhari Islamic Basic School, which was championed by the Member of Parliament, Hon. Abdul Latif Dan. The school has recently started a Junior High School (JHS) wing and now stands out as one of the best government schools in Ghana, having been equipped with a modern computer laboratory facility. This milestone reflects the MP’s strong commitment to improving educational infrastructure and opportunities for young learners within the municipality.
Addressing the pupils, Hon. Frank Nkansah reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to quality education. “The future of our municipality rests on the shoulders of these young ones. We must give them every reason to enjoy school and remain committed to their education,” he noted.
Also present was a representative of Hon. Abdul Latif Dan, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, whose participation further highlighted the strong partnership between the Assembly, Parliament, and other stakeholders in advancing educational development.
The occasion was marked by motivational interactions, distribution of school items, and words of encouragement, leaving smiles on the faces of the young learners and setting a positive tone for their educational journey
