<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Assembly yesterday successfully organized the distribution of support items to Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) at the Assembly Forecourt.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The exercise was held under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Nkansah, as part of the Assembly’s commitment to inclusive development and social protection. The programme also enjoyed the support of the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Hon. Abdul Latif-Dan.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The initiative marked the first batch of support items distributed to vetted and qualified PWDs within the municipality. Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as a significant step toward improving their livelihoods and easing daily challenges.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In his remarks, Hon. Frank Nkansah reaffirmed the Assembly’s resolve to ensure that no one is left behind, stressing that the welfare and empowerment of persons with disabilities remain a priority in the Assembly’s development agenda.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Today, the Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Nkansah and&nbsp; the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Hon. Abdul-Latif Dan, in collaboration with the Information Services Department, engaged traders, residents and other occupants at the Sabon Zongo Market on the need to vacate the premises by 31st July 2026.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The engagement forms part of preparations for the redevelopment of the area into a 24-Hour Economy Market and Commercial Centre, an initiative aimed at expanding economic opportunities, creating jobs, and improving trading conditions within the municipality.</p>
